We like to refer to Hemp as Nature’s Carbon Fiber. It’s extremely strong and its fast growth in nearly any climate makes it an ideal natural resource. Much like organic cotton, pesticides and herbicides uses the same amount of land as cotton and flax, but produces a lot more fiber. Though on top of that, it also improves the structure of the soil because it has long roots and replenishes the soil with nitrogen and nutrients to help in controlling erosion of the topsoil. What’s the best part? Most products made from hemp are biodegradable, nontoxic and renewable.

The reason cork is eco-friendly is mainly based on the actual process of obtaining the cork from the tree. A thin layer is carefully removed every 9 to 10 years for commercial products. After being harvested, the cork oak tree is allowed time to re-grow its bark. This means the tree isn't harmed at all and cork production doesn't result in deforestation.

Garments made with organic cotton fibers are cultivated without pesticides, chemical herbicides or synthetic fertilizers that can be harmful to the environment. To ensure the environment is not contaminated, organic cotton is grown in fields where the use of these synthetic chemicals has been discontinued for at least three years, and where rigorous controls help maintain and restore the soil's natural fertility. All of this reduces the exposure to pesticides and other chemicals that pollute the local ecosystems where the cotton is grown.
