Envirobadges

Waterbased Ink The majority of screenprinting is done using plastisol ink because they are simple to use, inexpensive and durable. Unfortunately, most consumers purchasing your average t-shirt aren't aware that plastisol inks contain PVC and phthalates that destroy the environment. Lucky for the environment, the ladies purchasing from Envirosurfers aren't your average consumer and Pursue isn't your average brand. That's why Pursue chooses to use water based ink for their garments whenever possible. When screenprinting using water based ink, you're utilizing an ink that contains neither PVC nor phthalates making it an environmentally friendly option. Water based ink ingredients are non-toxic, lead-free and do not contain any heavy metals.

Hemp  Pursue is responsible enough to make all of their threads from organic cotton, so when they told us the new Fairisle Drapes contained Hemp as well, we were really excited. For starters, It's extremely strong and its fast growth in nearly any climate makes it an ideal natural resource. What's the best part? Most products made from hemp are biodegradable, nontoxic and renewable.

Organic Cotton With Pursue creating all their threads from organic cotton fibers it means they're cultivated without pesticides, chemical herbicides or synthetic fertilizers that can be harmful to the environment. To ensure the environment is not contaminated, organic cotton is grown in fields where the use of these synthetic chemicals has been discontinued for at least three years, and where rigorous controls help maintain and restore the soil's natural fertility. All of this reduces the exposure to pesticides and other chemicals that pollute the local ecosystems where the cotton is grown.
